The San Francisco 49ers traded up to the 3rd overall pick and everyone assumed they had a plan, but that might not be the exact case. According to a report, San Francisco does plan on taking a quarterback with the selection but there is disagreement as to which one they should take. The report says that Kyle Shanahan is interested in one player while GM John Lynch is interested in another one. But, the report also said that both Kyle Shanahan and his father Mike quote 'run the organization,' and they have final say. As a packers fan, I’m just hoping whomever they pick ends up as a bust. 49ers cannot be back in the playoffs because we have to worry about the bucs.
I'm guessing the 49ers are trying to stay with times and grab fields. I definitely would keep JG. Injuries are still part of the game and there is no guarantee the next QB will be good coming out . Remember the Jordan love drama? Rodgers still killed it but no we have to be attracted to the new guys.

I'm gonna get flamed for this. But, I'm going to say it because it needs to be said. The public is high on Fields, the scouts are not as high on him. The public is low on Mac Jones, the scouts have him much higher. I've watched every game I could find of both QB's. Mac Jones is superior in every aspect outside of his speed. Footage from UGA showed Kirby Smart sitting 5 Star Fields behind Jake Fromm for 2 years because he felt Fields made poor decisions and struggled to process defenses. He left UGA bc he wasn't playing. He went to OSU and instantly got the job due to lack of competition. Every good defense Fields faced while at OSU he had loads of struggles with. Some games he looked outright lost. He scored SUPER high on the football-aptitude test for the draft. But, the film shows a different story. Jones never looked lost. Jones never looked confused by the defenses he faced(which were superior to the defenses Fields faced). Fields has a bright future. But, he has a LOT to learn and get better at. Jones is NFL ready. I've studied them both. Jones is the NFL QB ready to play. Fields is the future NFL QB still learning the schemes and adjustments.

Eh, you really can't know. Predicting QBs is basically throwing darts with a blindfold on. Some people are decent at it but even those people are wrong a LOT. Sometimes a guy is just overwhelmingly amazing and that makes it a little bit safer of a bet but even those guys fail sometimes, and anyway I don't think Lance is at that level
